So.
I thought it would be appropriate to upload my finished work on "Inheritance of Nott" as my first digital piece to my new profile.

Finally, after so much time and insanity thrust into this piece, I have completed my work, my intense vision, my unconscious acceptance of my new animal comrade, Nott.

I drew so many stars before.. and covered them with clouds.. and then redrew them.. Christ. I did go mad.

Symbols:
*Rune on Nott's neck- Othala, rune of inheritance, both physically and spiritually. Also guidance on journeys of the unconscious, etc..
*Rainbow- Bifrost, The bridge to Asgard.
*Two Ravens- Huginn and Munnin, Odin's eyes of the world.
*Anything else.. perceive what you will.

Given 2007-12-15

In 'Inheritance of Nott' by *Dok-Kizmit (the artist previously known as *y0u-3nj0y-mys3lf since 2004) the lighting is powerful, the pose is dynamic, and the colours are mesmerizing. If you full view it, you will find it to be packed full of small, beautiful detailing. If I have to sum up this painting in a phrase, it would be "pure magic." EEEEEE Alexa!!! Once again this is just awesome!!! I love it I love it!! The finished product looks amazing! I love the highlighting and the shading, and the rainbow there in the background is great :D And of course, I totally heart that pose! :D Great work on this one :D Definately a fav!

The shading and highlighting.. it's always the most fun to do! All the crazy detail gets exposed then.:D
And the rainbow, I was making reference to Bifrost, the bridge from Midgard to Asgard. Muuaha! Fun, fun. x}
It sounds cheesy of me, I know. But I'm happy you're my first comment on this one.

This is seriously your best work so far. :-) I love it. The stars are amazing, and so are those eyes! The fur, as always, blows me away. All the details in the snow and the sky and the brush...just wow! :D

Oh my god, I have not words enough to describe how amazing this is. The colours! The pose! The lighting! THE SHINY THINGS! Actually, you could put about a thousand exclamation marks after that, and it still wouldn't convey the amount of excitement I feel seeing this.

This is incredible. The pawprints in the snow, the way the left paw is sliding in the snow, the clawmarks on the brush, the slightly scruffy fur; there's so much detail! It's beautiful!

Makes me think of that Enya song, "Paint the Sky with Stars." Everyone's pointed out the wonderful details already, but I especially like the tracks behind him, where he slid down the hill. Incongruously lighthearted for the image, but I like it! Very nice job - an intense work for sure, both to paint and to look at.
